Kansanshi Dynamos Football Club put up a spirited performance in their Week-eight ZPL National League match against Chambishi FC, but despite their relentless efforts, the match ended in a 0-0 draw at Independence Stadium.
Head Coach Zeddy Saileti expressed his disappointment with the result, noting that the draw felt like a missed opportunity for his side, who were eager to take all three points. However, the coach remains optimistic, praising his players’ determination and acknowledging Chambishi’s strong defensive play.
Right from the start, Kansanshi Dynamos showed intent, pushing forward and creating chances, but all efforts proved unsuccessful.
In the 15th minute, Rabson Mumba almost set up Dalitso Lungu for an early breakthrough, but Chambishi’s defense held firm, and their goalkeeper calmly collected the ball after a corner.

Kansanshi Dynamos responded in the 37th minute with a fantastic cross from Joseph Chomba, which found Dalitso in the box. Unfortunately, the header went just wide.
The team continued to push, displaying excellent teamwork and movement, but a promising attack in the 41st minute was halted by the offside flag.
In the second half, Kansanshi made tactical changes, with Dave Daka coming on for Rabson Mumba in the 62nd minute.
Chambishi missed another chance in the 64th minute through a free kick which Sanjase confidently collected the ball.
Kansanshi had their best chance in the 68th minute when Dave Daka unleashed a powerful shot that Chambishi goalkeeper parried off. Kansanshi won a corner, but the opportunity slipped away.
Coach Saileti made further substitutions in the 81st minute, bringing on Kelvin Chisamba and Kunda Mazinga in search for a goal and to provide fresh legs, but despite the efforts, the elusive goal did not come.
The match ended 0-0, but there was plenty to take away from Kansanshi Dynamos’ performance. The team showed great character, and while they couldn’t secure the win, their desire to fight until the final whistle was evident.
Coach Saileti remains confident that the team is moving in the right direction and that with continued hard work, the goalsโand the victoriesโwill follow.
The team has maintained second position on the log with 17 points, five points behind log leaders Konkola Blades FC.
