It was a tough weekend for all Kansanshi Dynamos Football Club teams as none of them managed to secure a win. The senior team put on a spirited performance in their Week 8 Zambia Premier League National Division One match against Chambishi FC, but despite relentless efforts, the game ended in a 0-0 draw at Independence Stadium. Head Coach Zeddy Saileti expressed his disappointment, noting that it felt like a missed opportunity for the team, but praised the players’ determination and Chambishi’s strong defense.
Elsewhere, the club’s developmental team, Young Kansanshi United, participated in the Remmy Kalepa Independence Tournament, where they faced Kimale Stars in a quarterfinal clash but lost 2-0. It was a tough defeat for the young side, who couldn’t find their way past a solid Kimale Stars defense.
The women’s team, Kansanshi Queens, also had a challenging weekend as they travelled to Kasama to face Chitapankwa Girls, losing 2-1. Agnes Ngoma scored the lone goal for Kansanshi Queens, but it wasn’t enough to overcome their opponents.
