With just two games remaining to conclude the first round of the 2024/25 season, Kansanshi now sit in second place on the log with 30 points, four points behind Konkola Blades and two ahead of second-placed Prison Leopards FC. The draw leaves the team in a strong position, with eyes now on Prison Leopardsโ performance in their upcoming match tomorrow.

Kansanshiโs goalkeeper Sanjase was on top form, denying Blades’ Victor Mubanga in the 75th minute. In the 88th minute, Remmy Chanda had a chance to grab a late winner, but his shot went wide of the goal.
In his post-match reaction, Coach Saileti praised his players for following instructions and giving their all from start to finish. However, he acknowledged that the team was unable to convert their chances.
“Konkola were very organized and experienced, and they played very good football. We wanted to win but couldn’t, but a point is better than nothing,” said Coach Saileti. “We’re not worried about not scoring; weโll keep working hard. Our chances for the ABSA Cup remain very bright, and we just need to push in the next game.” He added.
