Kansanshi Dynamos Football Club is gearing up for another National League match tomorrow as they head to Independence Stadium in Lusaka for a week-13 clash against Young Green Buffaloes FC.

Coach Zeddy Saileti traveled to Lusaka yesterday with a strong 20-man squad set to face Young Green Buffaloes. The team held a light training session this morning on an artificial pitch to prepare for tomorrow’s game, which will also be played on synthetic turf.

Thirteen points separate the two sides, who are meeting for the first time this season. Young Green Buffaloes currently sit 10th on the table with 14 points, while Kansanshi Dynamos holds second place with 27 points.

Here’s what Coach Saileti had to say ahead of the match:

On expectations for the match:
“It will be a difficult game. You know when you’re playing military teams, they’re always aggressive. But we’ve prepared well with the boys, we’ve focused on building mental strength and aggression. We just need to play our own game, stay patient, and create chances so we can push for a win.”

On the points gap between the two teams:
“We just have to stay serious. I’ve told the boys, if we want to achieve our objective, we need to be consistent. Consistency is key for us. We’re back to winning ways, and we want to keep that going.”

On returning to Independence Stadium after previous success there:
“We need to approach the game the same way. The attitude was good when we last played on artificial turf, which is why we’re practicing on it now. The boys are becoming more familiar with the surface, so they know what to expect and how to apply themselves.”

On the weather:
“It’s a bit cold and rainy, but everyone knows that. It shouldn’t be a concern for us.”
