MATCH PREVIW-KDFC Prepared for Chipata United After Gruelling Two-Day Trip

Kansanshi Dynamos Football Club is getting ready for their week-nine fixture in the ZPL National League as they face Chipata United tomorrow.

The match will take place at David Kaunda Stadium in Chipata, with kick-off set for 15:00 hours.

Head coach Zeddy Saileti and his team made a two-day journey to Chipata for this encounter.

Speaking to Kansanshi Dynamos FC Media, Coach Saileti expressed confidence in his squad’s ability to adapt to the hot weather in Chipata, noting that it is quite similar to the current conditions in Solwezi.

The coach also acknowledged the challenge posed by fatigue following the long trip but was optimistic about the team’s readiness, having taken steps to manage the players’ recovery effectively.

Points Table Standings

Currently, 12 points separate the two sides. Chipata United sits at the bottom of the log with five points, while Kansanshi Dynamos holds second place with 17 points.

Despite the gap, Coach Saileti has cautioned his players against underestimating their opponents, emphasizing the importance of maintaining focus and giving full respect to Chipata United, especially since this will be the first meeting between the two teams.

In a pre-match interview, Coach Saileti shared his thoughts on various aspects of the game:

On the weather in Chipata:

“The weather is a bit hot, but it’s similar to Solwezi, and the boys are adapting well. I think we are ready for the game.”

On facing Chipata United:

“They are a known opponent, but with due respect, I have told the boys that we must respect them. It doesn’t matter where they are on the table. The most important thing is for us to apply ourselves well, play to win, play as a team, and stay united. We aim to attack fully and secure maximum points.”

On managing fatigue after the long trip:

“We prepared well for the trip. That’s why we traveled on Wednesday and spent a night in Lusaka, where we had a recovery session to remove lactic acid. On Thursday, we continued to Chipata and had another session. I believe we’ve managed fatigue well and are ready for the game.”

Kansanshi Dynamos will look to maintain their strong position in the league and close on the gab with top placed Konkola Blades who are leading by five points.
