Kansanshi Dynamos FC wrapped up the year in style with an emphatic 3-0 win over Ndola United, giving fans the perfect holiday gift as the Zambia Premier League heads into a three-week break.

The result also marks a strong start to the second half of the season, leaving supporters optimistic for what lies ahead.

The match began with early action as Clinton Lubula fired a shot wide in the 7th minute.

A tense moment followed in the 10th minute when Titus Chivunga conceded a free kick near the box, but Ndola United’s effort rattled the post.

Kansanshi were forced into an early substitution in the 29th minute, with George Chisala replacing an injured Chivunga.

Shortly after, Kizito Kezeron narrowly missed the target with a powerful shot in the 31st minute.

Lubula dazzled in the 43rd minute with brilliant footwork, weaving past the Ndola United defense, but his final pass was too heavy, resulting in a goal kick.

The breakthrough came in first-half stoppage time, with Tranquilin Mwepu rising high to head in a perfectly delivered cross from Lubula, giving Kansanshi a 1-0 lead at halftime.

Ndola United’s troubles deepened in the 55th minute when Bwanali Mutambo was sent off after receiving a second yellow card, leaving the visitors down to 10 men.

Coach Zeddy Saileti made key changes, bringing on Rabson Mumba for Kelvin Chisamba and Mike Zozi for Mathews Mwale. Another substitution in the 72nd minute saw Kizito Kezeron make way for Julius Mwanza, a move that quickly paid off.

In the 75th minute, Mumba doubled the lead with a composed finish, set up by a brilliant pass from Mwanza, who had been on the pitch for just three minutes.

The duo struck again in stoppage time, with Mumba completing his brace after another sublime assist from Mwanza, sealing the 3-0 victory.

Speaking after the match, coach Zeddy Saileti admitted that the team didn’t play their usual style of football but emphasized the importance of securing the three points. He expressed confidence that the result would motivate the team as they head into the three-week break.
